Swing one vase with japanese rattan knot
Isabelle Monnier
Basket Maker
I weave Japanese knots on vases and flowerpots.
These knots are traditionally a lucky charm in Japan. Indeed, the Japanese use them in the form of embroidery to adorn their traditional costumes at the buttonholes of their clothes; I was inspired by these embroideries to weave rattan around vases and soliflores.
Very decorative and original, this vase is delivered with the little story, which makes it a very appreciated gift …

Rattan and cotton perfume diffusers
Isabelle Monnier
Basket Maker
This diffuser is an essential oil or home fragrance diffuser.
It is in rattan and organic cotton. The fact of having combined these 2 materials has the advantage of an exceptional longevity of diffusion.
Rattan is a porous material, so all you need to do is slide a few drops of the essential oil on top or spray around the interior scent, and it will diffuse for several weeks.
When it no longer smells, the rattan does not retain the odors, you can either put the same fragrance back or change it …
It is a very effective support (ideal for toilets, bathrooms or other rooms), but particularly aesthetic and reusable at will !

Cotton baskets
Isabelle Monnier
Basket Maker
A basket maker by training, I had the idea to adapt a classic and ancestral basketry technique, called spiral basketry, to recycled fabric.
It is therefore using a real basketry technique that I weave these exceptionally rigid baskets. In addition to being practical and decorative, my cotton baskets are also machine washable.
As a result, they find their place in all the rooms of the house (entrance, hallway, living room, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, office, etc.) and can be used either for storage or for food (basket). bread for example).
The handles are made of very high quality leather.
